My Trip to Fort Worth, TX + MY FIRST VLOG

Fort Worth

I had a wedding in Decatur this past weekend (more on that later!) and decided to go a day early and stay a day late to explore Fort Worth, TX because WHY NOT. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Here are some pictures I took and also…MY VERY FIRST VLOG! I AM SO EXCITD! SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM TO WATCH!

I’m not 100% sure how to blog AND vlog so I’ll just share both for now! BEAR WITH ME!

My trip to Fort Worth included:

  • Sundance Square (and getting lost!)
  • Fort Worth Water Gardens
  • Inspirational Murals
  • Fort Worth Botanic Garden/Japanese Garden
  • Fort Worth Zoo

Two years ago, I planned to start a YouTube channel. As time went on, I decided to wait until I really got my blog up and going. HOWEVER, once that happened…I kept finding excuses to put it off.

“I don’t have the right equipment.”

“I’ll wait until I have my own place.”

“I don’t know what I’m doing.”

The truth is…I was scared because beginning something new is terrifying!

We can make up all the excuses in the world, but beginning something for the first time (or not!) really involves one thing: COURAGE.

Sometimes we just have to DO IT. No matter how nervous we are or how vulnerable it makes us, we have to take that first step. It may be TERRIBLE but as Jeff Goins once stated, “You have to write your first book to get to your best book.”

This is not going to be my best vlog. I will have to learn and grow and figure things out as I go. If I want to have a YouTube channel, I have to make my first YouTube video at some point, right? RIGHT! So, here it is! Don’t get too excited, though, okay? Aim low so you’re not too disappointed (L O L). But really…

If you’re wanting to do something, I hope you’ll do it.

Take that leap.

You’re not going to be very good at first and that’s okay.

You’ll get better.

It may be scary and nerve-racking and you may have 1,000 reasons as to why you should wait.

Put those reasons aside and GO FOR IT.
