How We Spend Our Time Matters

FOCUS QUESTION: How do we spend our time?

Hey guys, I’m Anna Hughes! Kristin has so awesomely decided to let me write on her blog this week! Even though we’ve only talked via social media, I know y’all are lucky to know and follow this girl.

How We Spend Our Time MattersI want to talk to y’all about how we spend our time.

I hear too many people say (myself included), “Gosh, where did this year go?!” Or, “It just seems like time keeps going by faster, and faster.”

In other words, they just don’t have enough time to get done what needs to get done.

Some wish they could’ve traveled more or chased their dream, they just ran out of time.

But that just isn’t the case.

God has given us all the time we need.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

Our responsibility is to steward the time we have been given, well. But when we are not intentional with our time, it can seem as though we do not have enough time.

Kristin touches on some of these things in her post “20 Things I Learned in 2016” and they are so, so true!

As believers, it is vitally important that we realize this and that we reflect and assess how we spend our time so that we can see if there is anything that might be keeping us from our time with God or the work He has for us.

How We Spend Our Time Matters

I recently took a community survey for readers of my own blog. As it turns out, many of them struggled with this, too! How do we prioritize our crazy lives in a way that glorifies God?  Does he really care about the homework and tests and practices and errands?

Answer: yes.

And he wants to be at the center of them all.

In light of realizing the commonality of this issue, I wrote a short ebook to help us all be more intentional with our time in 2017.

It’s called Reclaiming Your Time With God: How to Reprioritize Your Time in a Way That Honors God and Refills Your Life.

Let’s not let 2017 pass us by.

My prayer is for reclaimed time, refocused hearts, and a year of life transformation. I hope you will join me!
